No matter how strict the gun control laws are the bad guys are always going to get guns. We need to prosecute the bad guys when they’re caught and not let them out on a probation for two months.

Sorry Steven, I hit post instead of return, so here is the rest of my rambling.

I don’t believe that there are currently any politicians (on either side) in Washington who can lead this country successfully. They are all too invested in their careers, in maintaining power, and in bringing down the other side. Hope is not a strategy! They are too far apart, mostly because of the progressives, who are hopelessly too far left.

The only politician who I think could successfully lead this country at this time is Ron DeSantis of Florida. He has led his state very well through all the troubling past two years and represents a middle of the road conservative position. He supports his citizens and follows his beliefs. He believes in democracy and the Constitution. A few others I could support in supporting roles include Josh Hawley, Jim Jordan, Nikki Haley, Dan Crenshaw, Kristi Noem and Tulsi Gabbard (a democrat?).

I am incredibly fearful of the direction this country is heading, with the disaster that is the Biden administration, coupled with BLM, Antifa, George Soros and his legacy, the progressives, socialism/Marxism, dissolution of the rule of law, Etc..

If we can get to honest elections, the people will save us. If not it will be a continuation of the near past and the ultimate destruction of our country.

Thanks,

Mike Werneke

Steven,

While I agree with most of what you have written about MM, all he has done only amounts to words and no actions. I don’t believe he is experienced enough or qualified to lead anything at this point and would never survive in the swamp. Washington would chew him up and spit him out in small pieces, just like they ultimately did with Trump. I believe Trump was one of the best Presidents we have ever had, with two glaring exceptions. He was unable to gain the cooperation of Congress and his ego kept him from keeping his mouth shut when necessary and letting the other side make fools of themselves. Despite that, he had an instinct for what was right and what needed to be done. Even without the support of Congress, he accomplished most of what he said he was going to do and had this country on the right path and garnered the unswerving support of over half the citizens.

For the last 7 years of my working life, I was the Director of Corporate Education and Development, and I taught “Leadership and Management” to our employees. During that time, I saw very few leaders, however our CEO was the very best leader I ever met and led our company (a medium size chemical company in N.J.) to great success. He had a great intellect, a vision of the future, a simple strategy to get there and tactics that empowered employees and gave them the tools to succeed. He had a great philosophy of leadership, unfortunately that was 30 years ago and I cannot remember most of it!
