Jimmy has gotten to commercialized.. Forgotten his roots when it comes to the Keys, so to speak. Be a cold day in hell before I she'll out big bucks to see anybody anymore. Cost of concert tickets is ridiculous.
Jimmy is the grandfather of the tropical, get away from it all, vibe/movement. He created Margaritaville and it's become a brand. Kudos to him for his wise business decisions and taking the ball and running with it. The general public love the tropical, drink in hand, beach, get away from it all feeling. Especially if they live in the frozen north. Jimmy is the grandfather of that vibe. 😎👍🌴
Must respectfully disagree with your note on Jimmy Buffett. He is my favorite musician and I look at what he has done as building a business of music, food, drink, entertainment, lodging, etc., that the American public has bought into, with no one forcing them to participate. Whether he does free shows or pay per seat, the people who attend set the price — just like pro sporting events! You cannot possibly blame him for what Key Wierd has become. The Keys’ reputation is what has caused this evolution and no way one person could have done that. Thanks, Mike Werneke
With you all the way. 🎣
